Established in 1989, the Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) started as a tool for benchmarking safety standards but has since transformed into a premier safety management system. This system significantly boosts safety performance for its users, catering to companies of all sizes and across various types of work. ABC member firms participating in STEP assess their safety procedures and protocols against 25 critical elements using a comprehensive questionnaire. The ultimate aim is to develop or improve safety programs that effectively minimize incidents on the jobsite.

ABC Central Texas has embraced the VitalCog program as a key initiative to address mental health in the workplace. This program is designed to break down the stigma surrounding mental health issues and foster an environment where employees look out for one another’s well-being.
