Maury Baskin serves as ABC’s general counsel and is a shareholder in the Washington, D.C., office of Littler Mendelson P.C., where he chairs Littler’s Construction practice group and co-chairs Littler’s Workplace Policy Institute. He is one of the chief legal advocates for the rights of employers on labor issues throughout the country, representing ABC and its member firms at every level of government, up to and including the U.S. Supreme Court.

Ben Brubeck is ABC vice president of regulatory, labor and state affairs. In this role, he works with his team work to shape policy on local, state and federal issues important to the construction industry, and represents ABC before lawmakers, the media, construction industry executives and stakeholders. His expertise across a portfolio of issues includes labor and employment, workforce development, infrastructure, federal contractor regulations, small businesses and public works procurement. A contributor to TheTruthAboutPLAs.com, ABC’s educational blog on PLAs, Brubeck and the government affairs team at ABC National work closely with ABC chapters and industry stakeholders to help ABC members win more work.

Brandon Ray is the senior manager of state and local affairs for ABC National. Ray came to ABC from Bloomberg BNA, where he worked on regulatory analysis and research solutions spanning environmental safety, health care, labor and employment, transportation and occupational safety and health issues. He also has extensive political experience, having worked on the finance team for the National Republican Congressional Committee during the 2010 election cycle and as Rep. Robert Hurt’s (Va.-05-R) district and state fundraiser during the congressman’s first term.

Nick Steingart is the manager of state and local affairs for ABC National where he works with ABC Chapters to help advance their policy and political goals related to labor and employment, workforce development, infrastructure and safety issue areas, among others. He joined ABC in October 2017 after two years at the Republican State Leadership Committee and has also worked on state legislative campaigns and in the Florida House of Representatives in the Office of Bill Drafting.
