OSHA Partnership and Why it Pays to Be Safe

 

This presentation will cover what hazards OSHA is seeing locally, the OSHA/ABC partnership, and why it pays to have a safety program.  The top ten most frequently cited OSHA hazards for construction will be covered, as well as information about the OSHA/ABC partnership, and  estimating the true cost of job site accidents.

BIO: R. Casey Perkins, CSP, is the Area Director for the Austin Area Office of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. He initially came to work for OSHA in the Oklahoma City Area Office as an Industrial Hygienist Compliance Officer in May 2003. Mr. Perkins earned a BS in Industrial Technology with emphasis in Occupational Safety and Health from Iowa State University and has worked for private industry with experience in asbestos abatement, environmental compliance, industrial safety and the construction field.  Casey has been a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) since 2004 and is a member of the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH).
